PROJECTS

PORTUGAL Residential– A5

The brief on this project was to gut, level all ceilings, straighten all walls, adjust floor levels, lift part of the roof and furnish the entire home. A mixture of antique and contemporary furniture and beautiful art was our starting point.

PORTUGAL Residential– B39

The relaxed elegance of this home is created by the fusion of beautiful fabrics, international art and timeless antiques. It defines the ‘joie de vivre’ of the owners and the importance they place on quality time with family and friends.

APARTMENT REVAMP – SANDTON

The brief was to gut and revamp this apartment. The owners are property developers and asked for assistance to refresh their ideas and choices. A realistic fear is to get stuck in a rut with one’s style and choices. This project was an absolute delight to be involved in.

HOUGHTON 6TH AVENUE

This project started with an old Houghton home that needed attention – while the ‘old bones’ of these period homes are fantastic, the internals are restricted with regards flow and light. The main objective was to respect the integrity of the old home but also to modernise the space and create an environment suited to a modern family.

KITCHEN / LOUNGE RENOVATION – CRAIGHALL

The owners of this transformed space were just brimming with creativity but no time to focus on the scope of works – they placed full faith in us and the outcome turned out to be hugely satisfying for all of us…what a welcoming and inclusive space that the owners say has changed their lives.

KITCHEN / LOUNGE RENOVATION – OAKLANDS

The best jobs are the ones where you transform not only the space but also the energy of the home. The brief was to gut and redo the kitchen and lounge area. It was an old home, and the kitchen was conservatively about 30 years old. Our budget was tight, but we still managed to achieve maximum impact for this entertaining and food-loving family.

KITCHEN / LOUNGE RENOVATION – PARKVIEW

Life gets ahead of us, and with work and children, you sometimes lose sight of familiar spaces. One day when you open yourself up to making changes, you can’t believe you didn’t do it sooner.

KYALAMI RENOVATION

A total renovation can sometimes be the catalyst to invigorate body, mind and soul and to kickstart an individual’s life in the proverbial new direction. As they say, a change is as good as a holiday. That was the case with this beautiful home. The energy of this home and garden was recalibrated and will be food for the soul for the new owner.

APARTMENT REVAMP – CAPE TOWN

Interiors by Don’t Design and the architectural design by Sager and Associates transformed this dark and dated townhouse into a beautiful three-storey home. The interiors and soft furnishings, carefully chosen and positioned were put together over two years.

HOUGHTON RENOVATION 1

This beautiful home is a comfortable mix of classic and contemporary. French antiques live comfortably with Andrew Martin perspex chairs and a diverse collection of art.

HOUGHTON RENOVATION 2

The brief was to create a new work from home space. The client had worked from home for years and now wanted to create a separate office area. The existing home was a single story where 70% of the building was slab; hence the next logical step was to go up.

United Kingdom SURREY – CLASSIC CONTEMPORARY

We were asked to merge 2 tiny attic apartments and convert them into a spacious, light filled classic contemporary apartment. Archway Builders were the construction team we worked with and all we can say is that the whole project was an absolute pleasure.

United Kingdom SURREY – CLASSIC

Built in 1873 on the southern slopes of the North Downs, its current owners acquired this neglected home in the late nineties. The traditional English interiors are a fusion of beautiful art, antiques, silks, linens and cool, tranquil colours, creating an inviting and peaceful feel that is called a home.
